TOBY POMEROY INTRODUCES TRUE GOLD™ FINE JEWELRY CERTIFIED TO NON-CONFLICT AND ECOLOGICALLY RESPONSIBLE SOURCES

First bridal and fashion collections in U.S. sourced from certified Fairtrade and Fairmined™ gold and platinum and traceable gems

CORVALLIS, OR – TOBY POMEROY design studio introduces TRUE GOLD™ fashion and bridal jewelry, the first jewelry collections in the U.S. crafted with materials certified to be conflict-free, environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.

Featuring metals certified to be sourced from conflict-free areas and mined following the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility, TRUE GOLD™ provides retailers an honest new option for customers concerned about the source of their jewelry and the environmental, social and economic impacts of its extraction.

“Certified as to the source, TRUE GOLD™ raises the standard of jewelry with a conscience, elevating the standards of authenticity and transparency at a time when armed conflict, worker safety, child labor, women’s rights and environmental issues cast a shadow over the fine-jewelry industry,” said Toby Pomeroy. “With TRUE GOLD™, we’re offering a singularly compelling choice for those who care deeply about the earth and its people.”

Twenty seven engagement rings and band choices are introduced in the new True Gold™ bridal line and Eclipse forged hoop earrings comprise the initial wave of TRUE GOLD™ fashion jewelry.

All of the gold and platinum in TRUE GOLD™ jewelry is sourced from certified Fairtrade and Fairmined™ artisanal mining cooperatives, mined by hand and without the use of harmful chemicals. Owned and operated by mining families, the cooperatives pay their miners fairly and fund educational, health, and civic programs that enhance the lives of the local community. Diamonds in the TRUE GOLD™ line are certified Canadian, with transparent supply chains from mine to market. The TOBY POMEROY studio has a history of leadership in ethical jewelry. In introducing reclaimed EcoGold™ to the market in 2006, Pomeroy earned recognition as one of the most influential jewelry designers in America, and EcoGold and EcoSilver were deemed “the new gold standard” by TIME magazine.

“EcoGold and EcoSilver remain a great option for socially and environmentally aware retailers and consumers, and we feature both reclaimed metals in our handcrafted Eclipse, Petite Eclipse, and Comet collections,” Pomeroy said.

Located in Corvallis, Oregon, TOBY POMEROY design studio has crafted jewelry of inspired simplicity for more than 30 years. Today, a handful of young artists carry on the founder’s ideals, creating timeless, refined, beautiful jewelry that’s pure in form and origin. For more information, visit www.tobypomeroy.com.
